How come not a meyer plow

Meyers suck period. I work in a snow plow shop in the winter. I bet I probably did 10 meyer to western conversions. Its an old design. They were built for when trucks weighted 6000lbs not 14000lbs (for u guys who think ya can get 4 tons of salt in a 2.5 yard V box) They can't handle the new trucks these days.

I probably did 45 sets of meyer pin replacements. After you snap one. You got to heat that sucker cherry red then beat them out. Lots of hammering. Since you got to do it 4 times to get both pins out. Grind down the insides of the tubs and install new pins. Western pins, um never seen one break so I have no idea how to fix one. LOL

I had a meyer on my dump truck when I bought it. I told the guy to just keep the damn thing when I bought the truck. It came off after one year of plowing. After it got bend to all heck after smacking a curb. Hit the same curb this year. My Pro plus just keep on truckin.
